Improve Your Processes with AI and Process Intelligence

Improve Your Processes with AI and Process Intelligence

How can you quickly gain a data-based understanding of how your processes actually work – even with large volumes of data? And how can you use this insight to choose the right improvements?

In this intensive 2+1-day course, you will learn to use Process Intelligence and AI to visualise and analyse processes, identify variations, deviations and opportunities for improvement, and make better-informed decisions.

Process Intelligence has changed the way we improve processes. Even very large datasets can now be analysed quickly and systematically, making key patterns and improvement opportunities visible much sooner. Process Intelligence provides valuable data-based input when an organisation needs to choose between different improvement initiatives. This can provide a significant competitive advantage.

Between days two and three, you will have approximately one month to work on a process of your choice. You will have access to the Process Intelligence tool and guidance from the instructor. If your employer permits it, you can use data from your own organisation. We recommend setting aside time for this work, as it can significantly increase the value you gain from the course.

Scheduled Courses

About the course

Course content
During the course, we cover:

  • An introduction to business needs, processes, process improvement, process mining and Process Intelligence
  • How to turn data into a visual process map, using cases with increasing complexity and data volumes
  • Process Discovery (identifying the actual process), Conformance Checking (compliance with rules) and Performance Analytics (optimisation) – including process variants, bottlenecks, waiting times and improvement opportunities
  • Using AI to examine processes and develop proposals for different improvements, such as training, ERP system adjustments and automation
  • Managing and implementing Process Intelligence – including the business case, baseline, stakeholders, risks and change management
  • Hands-on work with your own or tailored datasets and processes between course days two and three.

If your employer permits it, you can work with your own data. Otherwise, we can create a tailored dataset that reflects your industry, company size and chosen process. This allows you to work on challenges close to your own situation and bring relevant insights back to your organisation.

Follow-up day
On day three – the follow-up day – we share experiences and provide feedback based on participants’ work. We focus both on process analysis and on the management and implementation of Process Intelligence.

What you will learn
After the course, you will be able to:

  • Carry out extensive process analyses much faster than before and use AI to turn data into practical improvement proposals – even without a specialist background in business analysis
  • Use Process Intelligence as a data-based input alongside other sources of information when your organisation chooses between different improvement initiatives
  • Understand how Process Intelligence and AI can provide a data-based picture of how processes actually work
  • Apply Process Discovery, Conformance Checking and Performance Analytics to understand actual process flows and identify variants, deviations, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
  • Build and analyse process maps using event logs – even for complex processes and large datasets

Benefits for your organisation

  • Your organisation can gain practical value during the course itself. Participants work with anonymised data from their own organisation or a tailored dataset prepared by us. This creates an opportunity to analyse a specific process and develop improvement proposals directly relevant to your organisation.
  • Your organisation gains an employee who can analyse complex processes and large datasets much faster than before – and turn insights into practical improvement proposals
  • You strengthen your ability to make data-based process improvements without necessarily needing specialist business analysts to carry out the analyses
  • You gain a stronger basis for choosing between improvement initiatives, such as training, changes to ways of working, system adjustments or automation
  • You become better equipped to prioritise where Process Intelligence, AI and other improvement initiatives can create the greatest value for your organisation
  • You improve your ability to manage and implement Process Intelligence using, for example, business cases, risk management, change management and work breakdown structures.

Who should attend
The course is designed for managers, project managers, process owners, consultants and employees working with process improvement, digitalisation, IT, operations or business development who want a stronger data-based foundation for understanding and improving processes.

You do not need to be a specialist in business analysis. Modern Process Intelligence tools and AI make it possible for a much wider range of employees to work with complex processes and large datasets.

Participants may bring different roles and perspectives – from management and prioritisation to analysis and practical process work. This creates valuable opportunities to learn from one another and understand how different skills contribute when Process Intelligence is used to create value in an organisation.

Teaching format
The course follows a 2+1-day format combining teaching, hands-on work and sharing of experiences.

During the first two days, we work with theory, tools and cases of increasing complexity. You then spend approximately one month working on a chosen process – either using your own data, if your employer permits it, or a tailored dataset that we develop together.

During this period, you have access to the Process Intelligence tool and can seek guidance from the instructor. On day three, participants present their experiences and provide feedback to one another.

You can attend in person or online. We use professional conferencing equipment and digital collaboration tools so that everyone can work together during the course.

Price and duration
The course includes:

  • A 2+1-day course, with the option to attend in person, online or through a combination of both.
  • Approximately one month of access to the Process Intelligence tool, with opportunities for guidance from the instructor during the period between course days two and three.
  • Hands-on work with your own data or a tailored dataset developed together with you.
  • Course materials and a certificate of attendance upon completion.
  • For in-person participants: meals and refreshments on all course days.

The course is normally taught in Danish, but it can also be delivered in English. Please contact us if you are interested in an English-language course.

The course takes place at Huset Edison, Holmbladsgade 133, 2300 Copenhagen S, from 09:00 to 16:00.

The price is DKK 16,500 excluding VAT.
